New Spider-Man Comic Arrives Ahead of the Animated Series' Second Season
Marvel has announced a comic tied to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the animated series streaming on Disney+. According to Marvel, the comic is meant to set the stage for the show's second season, giving the animated take on Spider-Man a companion story in print before the series returns.
The announcement frames the comic as a direct companion to the Disney+ series rather than a separate, unrelated Spider-Man title. Marvel describes the show itself as a hit, and the new comic extends that version of the character beyond the screen, keeping the series in view while its next season is on the way.
For viewers following the animated series, the comic offers an official way to stay connected to this version of Spider-Man in the meantime. No story details for the upcoming season were part of the announcement, and the focus remains simply on the tie-in itself: a new comic is coming, and it is intended to lead into season two of the Disney+ show.
