New Doctor Strange Artwork Unveiled From the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Art Book
Marvel Animation's art book devoted to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has added another preview, with an exclusive reveal highlighting new artwork of Doctor Strange created for the animated series.
The volume, titled The Art of Marvel Animation's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, is a behind-the-scenes companion to the Disney+ show. Books of this kind typically gather the visual work that shapes a production, from early character explorations to finished designs, giving readers a record of how the series' look was developed before the episodes reached the screen.
Doctor Strange is a fitting subject for a fresh look. The character's design in animation has to balance the familiar elements audiences expect with a style that belongs to this particular series, and a dedicated piece of artwork lets that work be appreciated on its own, away from the pace of an episode.
The reveal gives fans of the show, and of Marvel animation more broadly, another reason to watch for the book. It also underlines the continued interest in the series' world beyond the episodes themselves, as the art created for it finds a second life in print.
