In X-Men Vol. 1 #62 (1969), a dying Angel is revived in the Savage Land by the mysterious Creator and given a new blue-and-white costume. The Creator is Magneto — helmetless for the first time in print — and in X-Men #65 the suit stands revealed as a siphon that had been draining Warren's mutagenic energy all along.
