Today's Fact

For roughly two years, James Rhodes stopped wearing Stark technology entirely and wore a living creature instead. Rhodes had lost his original War Machine suit during a time-stream adventure, and with his friendship with Tony Stark fractured, no replacement armor was waiting for him at home.
In War Machine #18 (September 1995), by Dan Abnett and Fred Haynes, Rhodes bonded with the Eidolon Warwear, a symbiotic alien bio-armor. While dormant, the entire suit collapsed into a mandala-like mark worn on his chest; when danger arrived, it unfolded across his body in moments.
The Warwear shaped its arsenal out of his intentions: destructive energy blasts from the left arm, a blade grown from the right, and remote drones it could shed like skin to scout or strike. Strangest of all, the armor sang alien war songs while it fought, and because the bond ran to his genes, a destroyed drone sent its pain straight back into Rhodes.
Why It's Obscure
Every other War Machine suit is ordnance. This one was a roommate with opinions and a singing habit.
