EDDIE BROCK'S EX-WIFE ANNE WEYING BECAME SHE-VENOM — AFTER HE GAVE HER THE SYMBIOTE TO SAVE HER LIFE!
The Featured Fact

The first woman to wear the Venom symbiote did not steal it, buy it or get chosen by it — her ex-husband handed it over on a gurney's worth of desperation. Anne Weying, the lawyer who had divorced Eddie Brock after his Sin-Eater disgrace, was shot by a new Sin-Eater in Venom: Sinner Takes All (1995), by Larry Hama and Greg Luzniak, and Eddie carried the bleeding woman to his underground hideout — where the journey tore her stitches open and left her dying.

So Eddie did the only thing his life had taught him: he shared the monster. He persuaded the symbiote to leave him and bond completely with Anne to close her wounds, and when two squatters attacked the hideout and beat the now-powerless Eddie down, Anne woke up inside the black — fully transformed into She-Venom, the female Venom form with the white spider spread across her chest — and slaughtered both men before Eddie could stop her.

The healing worked; the horror stayed. Anne was alive because of the symbiote and revolted by what she had done inside it, all the more so when Eddie admitted the suit cannot truly force a host to act against their will. She briefly wore it once more in the same series to rescue him, then wanted nothing further to do with either of them — the shortest, saddest tenure any Venom host ever had.

Why It's Obscure

Everyone debates who wore the suit best. Anne Weying is the answer to a darker question: who wore it once, saved two lives with it, and never forgave it?

1995
Venom: Sinner Takes All — Hama and Luzniak shoot Anne Weying in a lawyers-targeting spree and put Eddie in the position of choosing between her life and his secret.
THE GIFT
A transplant, not a team-up — the symbiote leaves Eddie entirely and bonds with Anne to heal her gunshot wounds; no host had ever simply been handed Venom before.
THE COST
Healed and horrified — Anne survives, kills her attackers as She-Venom, and recoils from the discovery that the violence felt like hers.
