Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #48 (1966) debuts the herald; the Marvel Database’s Norrin Radd (Earth-616) entry records that Galactus patterned the Surfer’s silver form on an adolescent fantasy plucked from Norrin’s own memories — the same entry chronicles Zenn-La’s utopia and the suicides of both his parents before he ever left it.
