Victor Creed's murderous career began at the family table. As retold in X-Men Origins: Sabretooth #1 (2009), his older brother Luther Creed taunted young Victor with the last slice of cherry pie — and Victor tore his throat out for it, then sat down and ate the pie.
His father Zebadiah decided the boy was possessed. He chained Victor in the family cellar like an animal and, again and again, ripped out the boy's elongated canine fangs — his 'devil teeth' — trying to purge the demon. Thanks to Victor's healing gift, the fangs simply grew back every time.
The escape was as savage as everything after it: Victor gnawed through his own hand to slip the chains, then killed his father. He later boasted of killing his mother too, but that was a lie for effect — he spared Victoria Creed, kept her in comfort for years, and visited her until the Red Right Hand murdered her in her hospital bed.
Why It's Obscure
Wolverine's worst enemy was not made by Weapon X. He was made in a cellar, one pulled tooth at a time.
