Today's Fact
Most rulers defend their kingdom. Illyana Rasputina ate hers and carried it into battle inside her own body.
During Brian Michael Bendis's Uncanny X-Men Vol. 3 (2013), the demon lord Dormammu invaded Limbo itself, hunting its queen. Outmatched on her own throne, Magik made the most Illyana move imaginable: she absorbed the entire dimension of Limbo into herself, taking its whole mystical reservoir into her own body at once.
The gambit worked — with Limbo's power running through her, Magik could face the Dread One directly — but it left her carrying a hell dimension as internal cargo. From then on, Limbo was not a place she ruled from a throne; it was something she contained, and every use of her sorcery drew on a kingdom stored in the sorceress.
It also quietly rewired her teleportation. A stepping disc used to route Magik through Limbo because Limbo sat between everywhere and everywhere else. After the absorption, the detour and the destination lived in the same person — the queen, the kingdom and the road through it were finally one and the same.
Why It's Obscure
Plenty of heroes have visited hell. The list of heroes who have moved hell into themselves, on purpose, has one name on it.
