Today's Fact
Every national super team has a formation. South Korea's puts the chart-topping idol with the ice powers at the very front of it.
Tiger Division is the South Korean government's official superhuman team, run out of the National Intelligence Service by its director, White Fox. And according to Marvel's own breakdown of the team, when Tiger Division takes the field, the member who takes point — the front position, first into the fight — is Seol Hee, Luna Snow. The team's public face is not just its celebrity; she is its spearhead.
The arrangement, showcased across Tiger Division Vol. 1 #1 (2022) and the team's earlier missions, leans on exactly the qualities her double life built. A performer trained to hold a stage alone in front of thousands treats a breached doorway the same way, and her cryokinesis is a point weapon by nature: freeze the ground, wall off the angles, and let heavy hitters like Taegukgi arrive behind a battlefield she has already reshaped.
It is also a deliberate statement about who Seol Hee is in her own country's defence structure. Agents of Atlas borrow her for Pacific Rim crises and the idol industry books her years in advance, but Tiger Division is where she serves on the roster full-time — a conscripted celebrity whom the state trusts at the front of the formation, ahead of a centuries-old fox-spirit director and a living national monument.
Why It's Obscure
