Today's Fact
The ice, the albums and the world tours all trace back to one small Seoul household and the grandmother waiting in it.
Seol Hee lost both of her parents while she was still young, and she was raised alone by her grandmother in Seoul. Money was tight in that two-person household, so Seol Hee made a practical decision long before she made a heroic one: she would become a K-pop idol, and use the singing and dancing she loved to earn enough to take care of the woman who had taken care of her.
The plan worked on its own terms. Training at a special academy, she founded the girl group 4L1T with fellow trainees Min Jee, Jin Soo and Hae Won, took the stage name Luna, and climbed toward genuine stardom — the origin laid out in Future Fight Firsts: Luna Snow Vol. 1 #1 (2019) and Marvel's official character histories.
That motive quietly shapes everything after the powers arrive. Luna Snow's career was never a hobby bolted onto heroics or a cover identity; it began as a granddaughter's support cheque, and Marvel's writers keep the thread alive — years later, under Doctor Doom's world order, it is at her grandmother's apartment that Seol Hee goes to wrestle with being forced to record propaganda.
Why It's Obscure
A superhero origin that starts with a family budget, not a prophecy.
