Today's Fact
She worked years toward a crown her teacher never intended to let her touch.
After Master Izo found the escaped girl who would become Lady Bullseye, he trained her as an assassin and fed her a specific ambition: one day, he promised, she would lead the Hand itself.
That promise powered her New York campaign for the Hand, where she manoeuvred to clear a path to its leadership. The reveal, in Daredevil Vol. 1 #500 (2009), was that Izo had been lying from the start — his real candidate was always Daredevil, whom he hoped would seize the Hand and reform it from within.
When Daredevil accepted the leadership, he had Lady Bullseye cast out of the organisation she had schemed to rule. Confronting her old teacher, she vowed to kill him one day; Izo, unconcerned, told her to get in line. She rebuilt her position instead by allying with the Kingpin against their shared enemy.
Why It's Obscure
Every lesson Izo taught her was real except the one she built her career on.
