LADY BULLSEYE RESURRECTED THE ORIGINAL BULLSEYE — AND BROUGHT HIM BACK TRAPPED IN AN IRON LUNG WITH ONLY HIS SIGHT LEFT!
The Featured Fact

When a demon-possessed Daredevil killed Bullseye during Shadowland, the Hand's attempt to resurrect the assassin as its own weapon was interrupted by a crowd of heroes. The body, however, did not stay buried. Lady Bullseye — Maki Matsumoto, who had taken her name and her vocation from watching Bullseye work as a child — arranged for the corpse to be stolen from secure storage and completed the resurrection herself, using Hand rituals she knew better than anyone expected.

The rite worked, and it failed. Bullseye came back with his injuries made permanent: paralysed, and stripped of every sense except sight. Lady Bullseye installed her idol in a high-tech iron lung — a life-support sarcophagus through which the world's deadliest marksman could see, communicate, and do absolutely nothing else with his body.

Given endless motionless hours, Bullseye did what he had always done with a weapon: he aimed. From inside the lung he masterminded a campaign of misery against Daredevil, dispatching enemies such as Klaw, stealing the remains of Daredevil's father to unhinge him, and creating Ikari — a fighter gifted with Daredevil's own radar sense, plus working eyes to go with it.

The hidden hand was only exposed in Daredevil Vol. 3 #23–27 (2013), in Mark Waid's run. Daredevil traced the torment back to the lung, fought through Ikari and Lady Bullseye both, and dropped Bullseye through a collapsing floor into the same chemicals that had powered Ikari — saving his worst enemy from drowning, and leaving the resurrected assassin a prisoner inside a body that could now neither move nor see.

Why It's Obscure

She worshipped him enough to raise him from the dead. The resurrection came with a viewing window and no exit.

Shadowland
Death was the easy part — Bullseye died at the centre of Shadowland and the heroes stopped the Hand's public resurrection; Lady Bullseye simply ran the same ceremony later, in private, without an audience to interrupt it.
One sense
Sight, and nothing else — The revived Bullseye could watch the world he used to terrorise but could not hear it, feel it or lift a finger against it — for a man of pure aim, a custom-built hell.
Ikari
A better Daredevil, by post — Unable to throw so much as a paperclip, Bullseye commissioned a proxy with radar sense and sight combined, and sent him to beat Daredevil nearly to death as an introduction.
2013
The lung as a war room — Waid's reveal reframed a year of Daredevil's suffering as one paralysed man's hobby: every ambush had been plotted from inside a medical device.
