DAREDEVIL COULD NOT HEAR LADY BULLSEYE COMING — HER PULSE STAYS DEAD LEVEL AND SHE GIVES OFF ALMOST NO SCENT!
The Featured Fact

Daredevil fights with his ears, his nose and the radar sense that replaced his eyes; a heartbeat across a room is, to him, a signed confession of where you stand and how frightened you are. Lady Bullseye is the opponent his senses were never built for. Trained by Master Izo of the Hand, she carries a meditative control so complete that her pulse barely rises in combat — no adrenaline spike, no racing heart, almost no scent for him to track.

That stillness warps every exchange between them. Murdock cannot gauge her speed the way he reads other fighters, because the usual tells — breath, heartbeat, the smell of effort — arrive muted or not at all, and her attacks land with a calm he describes as deeply unnerving. She hits less hard than the original Bullseye, by his own assessment, but she hits constantly, and from a stillness he cannot anticipate.

The same control is what made her double life possible. Posing as attorney Maki Matsumoto, she could sit across a desk from Murdock and alter her voice, pulse rate and scent well enough to deceive superhuman senses — the lawyer and the assassin presented as two different bodies to the one man who identifies people by their physiology.

It is, in the end, a discipline rather than a superpower: no mutation, no serum, just training pushed to the point where a woman's own biology stops testifying against her. Against most opponents it buys her an edge. Against the Man Without Fear, it buys her something rarer — near-invisibility in plain earshot.

Why It's Obscure

An assassin whose greatest weapon is a resting heart rate, aimed at the one hero who listens for exactly that.

No spike
Flatline calm — Daredevil notes that her heartbeat never climbs in a fight: no adrenaline rush for his hearing to lock onto, even mid-duel.
No scent
Nearly odourless — alongside the level pulse, she gives off almost no scent, stripping the second channel Murdock uses to build a picture of an opponent.
Speed
Unreadable tempo — with the usual physiological tells suppressed, Murdock finds her speed hard to gauge and her next move hard to anticipate — a genuine tactical problem, not a courtesy compliment.
Disguise
A body that lies — Marvel's own database credits her disguise mastery with altering voice, pulse rate and scent to fool superhuman senses, which is how the lawyer act survived Murdock's scrutiny.
Trained
Izo's student — the control was taught, not born: Master Izo, the Hand's centuries-old renegade, trained the girl who watched Bullseye work into the quieter weapon she became.
