Today's Fact
Peel off the famous dome and the lesson telepaths learned in 1965 stops working.
The original weakness was simple. In X-Men Vol. 1 #12–13 (1965), Cain Marko's helmet shielded his mind from his stepbrother Professor X, and the X-Men could only win once they wrestled the helmet off and let Xavier knock him out. For years afterwards, every psychic on Earth knew the same playbook: get the dome off, then go for the brain.
So Marko quietly patched the flaw. Under the great dome he took to wearing a second, smaller skullcap of psi-blocking metal, a back-up layer that stays in place even when the outer helmet is torn away. In Marvel Team-Up Vol. 1 #150 (1985), that hidden cap kept Rachel Grey out of his head after she had already got past the main event.
Reference histories of his later, stronger incarnations note the same arrangement: a secondary helmet beneath the first, keeping him immune to mental assault. The unstoppable force had studied his own defeat and armoured the one soft spot it exposed — twice.
Why It's Obscure
Two helmets, one lesson learned the hard way.

Layers of the defence: the great dome up close, the Juggernaut at full charge, and Professor X, the telepath the whole arrangement was built to frustrate.
