Today's Fact
One routine vet visit turned into an X-ray of everything a land shark should never swallow, up to and including cosmic weaponry.
Jeff's appetite has never respected categories like edible and not edible. In It's Jeff! Infinity Comic #10 (2021), the little land shark developed stomach pains severe enough that Kate Bishop rushed him to a doctor — and the examination produced the most alarming X-ray in Marvel history.
Alongside the expected donuts and fish, the scan picked out a snow globe and a license plate. Then it picked out the Infinity Gauntlet itself — the assembled cosmic weapon that once unmade half the universe, sitting in a baby shark's belly like a swallowed coin. Jeff had somehow come across it, eaten it along with assorted other items, and his only symptom was a tummy ache.
The Gauntlet was not even his first superhero theft. In It's Jeff! Infinity Comic #7, Jeff had already stolen Captain America's shield, Kate's trick arrows, Miles Morales's mask, Doctor Strange's Eye of Agamotto, Falcon's wings and Black Widow's gauntlets, then ambushed the owners with their own gear when they came looking. The pattern is consistent: if a hero sets a priceless artifact down for one minute, it becomes Jeff's property or Jeff's lunch.
Why It's Obscure
Thanos needed a quest across the stars to assemble that gauntlet. Jeff needed a snack break.
