Today's Fact

In Howling Commandos of S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 (2015), the world's most professional primate assassin reported for duty with S.T.A.K.E., S.H.I.E.L.D.'s subsidiary for supernatural threats. Hit-Monkey's new unit was a monster roster by design: the Man-Thing, the Manphibian, the giant Orrgo, Teen Abomination, a zombified Jasper Sitwell and Vampire by Night.
The strangest personnel file belonged to the boss. Field commander Dum Dum Dugan was a Life Model Decoy — a robot double carrying the original Dugan's mind — while agent Martin Reyna, codenamed Warwolf, handled and supervised the team between missions, when its members were kept in cells.
Their first case shipped them to the tanker S.S. Chaney, where the Earth Idol of Golthana had mutated the crew into mindless plant creatures that merged into one giant growth. The Commandos destroyed the crew-creature, and when the Man-Thing burned the growth, its link to the idol made the artifact burn with it — a mission won and an objective lost in the same fire.
Why It's Obscure
The killer of killers got a badge, a cell, and a robot for a commanding officer.
