Today's Fact
Checked against independent sources — the issues are cited below.
In Shadowland Vol. 1 #1 (2010), Bullseye escaped custody during a transfer, slaughtered his escort and walked uninvited into the Hand's new fortress in Hell's Kitchen to challenge its leader. The leader was Daredevil, and Matt Murdock met the taunt without a trace of his old restraint.
Bullseye cut through the Hand ninjas sent against him, then discovered his oldest opponent had changed the rules. Daredevil dislocated both of the assassin's shoulders and drove a sai through his chest, killing him on the spot in front of his own ninja army.
The method was the message. Decades earlier, in Daredevil #181, Bullseye had impaled Elektra on one of her own sai to win back his place as the Kingpin's chief assassin. Murdock repaid that exact wound with interest, and the killing became the first unmistakable step in his possession by the Beast of the Hand.
Why It's Obscure
He spent a career throwing the last word; in Shadowland the reply arrived holding his own weapon.
