Death was not the worst thing that ever happened to Bullseye; the resurrection was. After Daredevil killed him during Shadowland, Lady Bullseye recovered his body and tried to restore him with Hand rituals. The revival only half worked, as recounted through Daredevil Vol. 3 #23–27 (2013) by Mark Waid and Chris Samnee: Bullseye returned alive but ruined, stripped of every sense except sight and unable to move or speak under his own power.
His keepers sealed him inside a life-sustaining iron lung, a high-tech sarcophagus through which he could communicate and watch — and watching was all he could do. A man who had once turned playing cards and paperclips into murders now depended on a machine to breathe, which gave him the one resource he had never previously needed: endless, motionless time to plan.
He spent it dismantling Daredevil's life by remote control. From the lung he directed villains including Klaw and Coyote against Matt Murdock, arranged for the remains of Murdock's father to be stolen to make the hero doubt his sanity, and bankrolled an experiment to recreate the accident that created Daredevil — producing Ikari, a sighted assassin with Daredevil's radar sense but none of his blindness. When Daredevil finally found the hidden mastermind, the confrontation dropped Bullseye's container through a floor into the same radioactive chemicals, burning him and taking even his sight, leaving the world's deadliest marksman a prisoner inside his own silent body.
Why It's Obscure
Resurrection stories usually hand a villain his powers back with interest; Bullseye got a breathing machine, a viewing window, and months to aim the only weapon left — patience.
